ESPN reveals ‘College GameDay’ Week 7 destination ahead of top-10 matchup

“College GameDay” announced its destination for Week 7 of the college football season Saturday before the Week 6 show from Dallas was even over.

The popular college football pregame show, on location in Dallas to promote Texas-Oklahoma, took to social media to announce Kirk Herbstreit, Pat McAfee and the boys are headed to Seattle for a top-10 matchup between Washington and Oregon on Oct. 14.

The matchup will features Oregon quarterback – and former Auburn star – Bo Nix and Washington QB Michael Penix Jr.

Both teams have a bye week leading up to the Pac-12 clash. Washington is coming off a close call with Arizona last week, while Oregon easily defeated Stanford.

Penix Jr. threw for 363 yards, Dillon Johnson ran for two touchdowns and No. 7 Washington picked apart Arizona in a 31-24 victory. Washington’s run game scored all four of the Huskies’ touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Nix threw touchdown passes on the first four drives of the second half and No. 9 Oregon shook off a shaky start by scoring TDs on six of seven possessions to beat Stanford 42-6. Oregon took nearly 20 minutes to gain its initial first down of the game as the Ducks started off slowly after last week’s emotional win over Colorado and with a showdown against No. 7 Washington coming in the next game.
